Unfortunately the free versions of FTM do not have facilities for exporting data - the options appear greyed out. You will have to pay for an upgrade before you can do this. |

Hi Heather, Thanks for your quick reply, unfortunately I the FTM i am using wont allow me to chose a format :( I am only using the version that was in The Times newspaper a few months bk. I am gettin an updated version shortly thou. Lee |

You have to export a gedcom file not FTW file from familytreemaker. It's a drop-down option. Does that help? Heather |

Hi, I exported my tree from GR to my new FTM program ... i entered in almost 400 extra people to FTM and saved a copy file so that I could upload it bk to GR. But unfortunately the format is not recognized by GR. Does anyone have any idea how I can upload it to GR from FTM as i have some people that want to have a look at my tree. thanks in advance for your help. Lee |
