I am looking for the death of Athol Lancelot Reginald Pearse born c 1901 and his wife Blanche Mabel Pearse (m s Sanders) born c 1918. They married in Scotland, but I believe died in England. I would be very grateful for any help as I am not used to Ancestry as most of mine are Scottish Thankyou Julie

Hi Julie, Have you any idea when or where they died? Without some clue, it will be a very long job. the full index post approx 1911 is not searchable like FreeBMD, it has to be searched quarter by quarter though the years.

Hi Sorry did not realise I was asking for such a mammoth favour. They married in 1940 and he was in RAF. I believe he could have been in Devon when he came out, but know idea of year. I know this is not much more info. Please tell me if it is impossible without any more info than I have at moment Thanks Julie

Julie, do you know if they had any children? Just trying to get some idea as to the earliest they could have died. Its not impossible, just a long job lol.

Hi Everyone I would like to thank you all so far, information on birth and census seems correct. Would it be possible to get back to you all tomorrow. I am going to try to find out more info for you. Also hubby has computer tonight. Thankyou Julie

Probably Athols death Q3 1966 Pearse, Athol LR, age 65, Newton Abbot, 7a 540. Now to continue for Blanche

Hi Julie, Have continued checking for the death of Blanche with no success, have checked the death index from 1960-2004 and cannot see her. Given that she would have only been 48 or so when Athol died, she quite possibly re-married and died under a different name. Keith
