on the 1841 census ther is a john and martha ridgeway and i am trying to find her maiden name see below in a mo love linda x

MARTHA was widowed c 1870 and for the 1871/81 census was living with a ROBERT WAKEFIELD and family in EARLESTOWN NEWTON she is listed as servant but it was a two up two down so no need for servants love linda x

thanks to you all i have tried freebmd and igi but no luck i am presuming they were married c1840 ish as joseph was born around that time although i know it might have been after but on the 1841 census they are married or so they say. thanks linda x
