The anoying thing is, both the members I have contacted have 99% of family info that connects them to me. I am sure I have info they may not have and vice versa. One of the contacts updated their info in Sept this year, so I was hoping to get a reply. Well, just keep soldering on I suppose!!! Kathlyn

I get emails all the time through Ancestry, so the system does work. They might be going into the junk box though, or their ISP might be blocking them.

Did you contact them through their e-mail address sometimes provided at the top of trees or did you contact them through Ancestry? I also contacted two members from Ancestry Com two weeks ago who have Personal Trees on the site with my family names, dates and places of birth., sending mails thru the E-mail provided by Ancestry and have not had any replies to date. I was wondering too how the system worked. Although I read the Ancestry guide lines and it states that they forward the mails to the member`s e-mail address. Elizabeth

The email will be sent to their personal email address from Ancestry. Of course, that address may be inactive.

If I email someone who has a tree in the Ancestry site, do I have to wait until they access the site? Kathlyn
