I am trying to find the record for twins who both died in the same year aged under 2. I cant get any records for that year??? Help please!! They all start about 1909 but don't go any further than 1911! |

Hi Maureen I am not sure which records you are looking at but you need to search the full BMD's - original images - and you can do this on Ancestry on this address http://www.ancestry(.)co(.)uk/search/rectype/vital/freebmd/bmd.aspx I believe it is free at the moment, I am not sure if you have to register. Well, their names were dorothy and eileen hurt - born in London but not too sure of the area, probably SW....mother's name was Florence May Page and father Harold Hurt - they were not married....and whilst their older brother was given the father's name of Hurt I am assuming the twins had his name too. Sadly, their father died just before they were born and they both died within 22 months. One at 14 months so they would have died in 1922,23 or 24. and were born in 1922. Would appreciate any help - thanks.... |

Couldnt find Eileen death ref as Hurt searched 1922 - 1925. Found her in Mar 1923 registered as Eileen J PAGE. age 1 Wandsworth 1d 493. Shirley |

Thanks Shirley - you're a gem. Wish I was getting the hang of it too.....getting better but such a long way to go - so many Hurts - so little time..........My poor grandmother - first a Hurt then she married and got a Cross!! |
