I havent used this website for a while now, but I think that I can remember that if someone gives you access to their tree, you used to be able to get a list of names of the people in their tree. Can someone remind me how to do this?? thanks Jody

Genes have updated the trees so am not sure if you can now get the list as you used to.

You go to your contacts list and you will get a list of people who have contacted you. If there is a tree icon along the page from their name it means you can see their tree. Just click on it. Not sure about the 'list of names' though - you just get to wander around their tree - though you can enter a search on it for a particular surname or name.

if you have one name you want to find in the their tree, you can still search. Option is at the top of the screen.

Hi Jody, I'm afraid GR in their infinite wisdom removed the 'my relatives'-style lists for contacts' trees. It is a blooming nuisance as that list was very useful for surprise accidental discoveries. Now you have to know already who you are looking for. Fine if you are psychic! I do wish GR restores that particular featue as there doesn't appear to be an effective work around.

Hi Jody: I just asked about a few days ago. Apparently go to your tree and at the top it says Old Tree. Go on that. At the top on the right hand side you can bring up other trees. Click on the persons tree that you want then while on their tree you can put in the name you want to find. You can just put in the last name and it will bring up a list of everyone that has that name. You have to have at least the last name. It worked for me so hope it works for you. I hope I explained this correctly. Shiela
