Morning, Where have you got this info from for their DOBs and DODs? I can't find it. The places that you have given, is that where they were born or where they died - or was it the same place for both?? What info is it you want? They were all born after the 1901 census so you would have to find their parents to find them on the census. Do you know if any of them got married? Andrea |

Patricia I take it you have taken their DOB from the death indexes on Ancestry, but what other info are you after? They were born too late for the census's so you would need to buy birth certificates for their parents names & O'connor is probably their married names. Georgina. |

I have checked for both the births and the deaths of all 3 on Ancestry and can't find any of it. Please let us know where you have got this information from and what information it is that you are looking for. |

Hi Patricia This is the reference for the marriage of Winifred E Read. Quarter 2 1935. Winifred E Read, O'Connor, Registration District Willesdon, 3a 1036, You need to send off for this marriage certificate using the above reference, it costs £7 and you can do it via the GRO site online. The certificate will give you the ages of the couple at marriage, address and occupations, also (if known) their fathers and their occupations. Once you have an approximate year of birth for the couple you can look in the index for their births and then send for their birth certificates and find out the full names of their parents. You will also be in a better position to decide which one of the deaths is your Winifred by her year of birth. The address for the General Register Office is http://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/certificates/ You can follow the advice on how to order. Hope this helps to get you started Regards Gail |

Gail Thankyou very much, I didnt think it was going to be so difficult, i have spent so much money on other sites, its not funny as i am on income support. Is there any other way i can find out anything without having to purchase certs. I am doing this for Winifred's daughter Margaret, who is quite ill, and hasn't got long left, she wants to know about her mum. Thanx again Pat. |

Hi Patricia It is worth having another check on the BMD, but unfortunately only certificates really prove the details. I am going off to bed now, but I am sure someone will pick up the thread tomorrow or I will nudge it up. Regard Gail |

Hi So is it just one of the Winifred's that you are interested in then - the one that married Patrick, or do you want them all?? Let me know and meanwhile, I'll go mooching and see if I can find anything useful for you. Could you not ask someone for an early Christmas present - 7.00 isn't that much for Christmas..... Once you get the parents then you can get back to the Census and then it's much easier. Hopefully you would only need the one certificate to get you going. Andrea. |
