Second thread on this subject tonight! Were those with ticks against them born out of the county, perhaps?

thanks. i was just wondering as not everyone on the form has it and some have both a tick and a slash in that column. michelle

means the enumerator ticked each item when he was later compiling his records, any disabilty would be named if there was one

hi all does anyone know what a tick or a slash means in the disabilities column on a census form? regards michelle
