That's a new avenue, thanks Jools. I don't remember seeing that before. It's a little far detatched from the Exeter and Southampton areas that I have Melhuishes in my tree but a possibility. I'll have to try and jog some family memories to see if Cristo crisps comes up. |

My mother seems to recall being told that my nan had an uncle that started a flour business and lost contact with his family. This would most likley have been late 1800s to turn of the century. I'll admit that this has me interested and I would really like to know if this is true. I don't hold much optimism because I have searched google and haven't found anything (I'd expect something, somewhere, on the net) but might anyone here know something about Melhuish Flour? Thanks in advance for anything. Chris |
