bostrome hampshire 1803

Has anybody got any information as to where Bostrome in Hampshire was in 1803? Thanks

No sorry. It would probably have come under different boundaries to now and wouldn't show on a map.

It's not Boscombe by any chance is it? This is near Bournemouth, which was in Hampshire, but is now Dorset. Sue

I don't think it will be Boscombe. I've tried Winchester Record Office but they don't know where it was

Can you give us some idea as to what conext you found the place name, it is very hard to be of assistance with such little information to go on. Jennifer

I've got a Muster Roll from 1803 and it states that Benjamin Robinson was born in Bostrome, Hants in 1784. That's all I've got at the moment

Sorry Jan, I can't come up with any logical suggestion, I would rule out Boscombe as it is rather too early. You have already tried Hampshire RO, so I don't know what else to suggest. Good luck, Jennifer
