These are the details for Cleckheaton Library:- Name: Cleckheaton Library Address: Whitcliffe Road Cleckheaton West Yorkshire BD19 3DX Telephone: 01274 335170 Fax: 01274 335171 Genes won't let me put the library email address (even with brackets) but if you Google Cleckheaton Library you will find it. Thanks Kath. It would be in the Cleckheaton area as that's where he lived all his life.

If you have an address where your grandfather lived, then I would contact the nearest large library for the area, as that is usually where back copies of local newspapers are kept on microfilm. Is there anything in the article that may give a clue to the area? Kath. x

A contact has told me of a newspaper cutting he possesses, which has information about my GGrandfather on it. Unfortunately, he doesn't know which paper it was from. The date is about July 1919. How can I find the article? (It's in Yorkshire)
