can anyone help me i am searching for someone my birth mother, i have come to a stand still, i have spent hundreds doing this, every link i go on cost me,i dont care what i pay but i am getting no where any tips please cause i need help. thank you |

Beverley, Do you have your Birth Certificate? If so does it state your mothers name on there? if you have that then you could try the Salvation Army. I take it that you were adopted, do you have any siblings? You could ask to see their certificates as well. Hope the hints I gave can help. Helen |

Beverley If you were legally adopted, then you are entitled to see your adoption case file, which will have details of your birth mother. The Social Worker will no doubt advise you on the best way of contacting her if that is what you wish to do - probably through an intermediary service. Good luck OC |

tell us how far you have got. have you got your file have you got her name ( dont tell us it here) have you been in touch with a post adoption sevice? Just where are you at with this search? |

i have my birth mothers name, all my paper work ie, birth cert,adop cert,her date of birth,who she married,when she divorced, then i come to a stand still but thank you all for your time xx beverley |

Beverley, What year did she divorce? Have you looked through the marriage index on Ancestry that is free? Rose |

Just a thought, type in 'adoption ' on the search box (just above the threads on here) + you will get lots of info. People will do all they can to help you, Beverley.........I know, because with the help of folks on GR I actually found my B/Family (my dream come true). Just keep us informed on how you are doing.
