Margaret, did they put peas in tins in those days? I wouldnt fancy shelling them, after all they didnt have all this machinery, and I cant remember my mum ever buying a tin of peas and that was in the early 1030s. that was the job she was doing at the time of the census, you took whatever was going regards work in those days I imagine., I hope she was good at it.

Sorry to intrude but I got a kick out of the occupation of Mary McMicken. Salmon Tin Labeler? Is that a specialty or what? Does that mean she can't put a label on a tin of peas, just salmon? Margaret

hi again, Im hoping some of my good helpful friends are reading this and can do me a search on both the census's for the same person - MARY LUNT age 36 on the 1891 and 48 on the 1901 LIVERPOOL. Thanks again. TED VICEROY STREET AND UPPER HILL STREET I think.
