can anyone point me in the right direction? from a birth certificate i have, Ethel Amanda Hall was born on 21/4/1885 in Cheltenham, her parents are listed as Ann Elizabeth Hall formerly Bloom & Jesse Hall. On the 1901 census the parents are listed on RG13 PIECE 2463 FOLIO 14 PAGE 19, although the fathers name is spelt as Jessa, Ethel is listed as a servant, RG13 PIECE 2462 FOLIO 134 PAGE 27, according to these the whole family was born in Cheltenham, I can find a birth entry for Jesse Hall in Cheltenham in jan/feb/mar 1846 (although i don't know this is the correct one) Vol 11 page 221. i have tried all the census 1851 upto 1891 and can find no trace, where am i going wrong? thanks
