Elaine, You are bl***y wonderful. It must be them. I have tried all sorts of different spelling possibilities and taking into account mis transcriptions, but never thought 'Tramp' would be it. I cannot believe it. Big high five, and your blood is worth bottling. Maria |

Tip for the future - just do a search using a first name, for example Barnard born 1816 +/- 2 years Norfolk You will then see a possible mistranscription. |

I am beating the same old drum I usually beat. But need help looking for RUMP family: Barnard b 1816 Amelia C (nee Smith) b1821 Amelia G b 1840 Alfred Barnard b 1844 Emma Mary b 1850 Have found 'a Barnard' who died of consumption in Docking, age is correct but occupation is listed as writer and he was a druggist or chemist in 1841. But no sign of family. All originally from Swaffham and surroundings and all except the father are in census recordings after 1851. If the family was in a poor house, how do I find out where and also surely they should have been on the census anyway. Cheers Maria |
