As far as I can remember, all my Minnies are Minnies.

My aunt Minnie was registered with that name in 1901...just like her mum in 1873. Gwyn

Quite a popular name in it's own right from the 1870's onward. I believe it was the nickname of Queen Alexandra's sister, which may have helped popularise the name. At that time Alexandra was Princess of Wales. Jay

Hazel, Minnie could be short for Whilemina (sp?) Helen.
