Hi all following on from Suzannes thread about the Merchant Navy, can anyone help? I am trying to find out about my grandad who was in the Merchant Navy during WW2. I have been on the National Archives site but cant find anything on him. I would appreciate a fresh pair of eyes if possible. I dont know anything about his service not even where he would have been or what ship he was on. His name was Albert Leonard Evans born 1925 in Reading Berkshire. I know he worked in the communications dept using morse code etc, he also helped the ships cook at mealtimes Thanks, Laura |
