Please could someone do me a census search on: Thomas Hodgson b abt 1863 Holme on Spalding Moor I think his father may also have been Thomas Hodgson. Possibly living in Lund or Etton. Thanks

Can't find any Thomas Hodgsons born Holme upon Spalding Moor. There are a few in Yorkshire but nothing that says Etton or Lund. Any idea what else in near there?

That's about all I have. I have him in 1901 if that's any help??

Also, he is shown as living in Etton on his marriage cert. Marriage was 17.01.1885 to Eliza Hardbattle. Thomas' parents are not shown on marriage cert!!!

Found this one. Googled Foxholes and said it's Driffield. Could this be him? Different father's name. If you have any other details please let me know and I'll have another look. Only ones coming up with father Thomas are in Durham and Holy Trinity Yorks. Dawn, This could be them, the dates tie in but how can I be sure? None of the names seem to carry down through Thomas' children so I dont know. Any suggestions please?

THis is the same family on the 1881 census. Don't really know how you can be sure without parents names. Do you have birth ref to apply for his birth certificate? Are there any of these names as witnesses to marriage? Often witnesses were relatives? Sorry can't be of more help. The witnesses are James Hardbattle Eliza's brother and an Annie bucknall. She doesn't seem to marry into the family so she must have been a friend. I'll order the cert I think is him and see what happens! Thanks for your help!
