I have the birth date of a 3x great aunt and Ancestry is showing two Margaret Mawdsley in that time slot, one in Ormskirk, Lanc...the other in West Derby, Lancs. She was christened 5 weeks after her birth at St. Chads, Kirkby by Melling. Can anyone tell me which registration district Kirkby would have been in please. Kathlyn

What a good question! Kirkby seems to be in the West Derby reg district, but Melling is in the Ormskirk reg district!
