I am currently looking at marriage parish records and this abbreviation is found in just about each record. What does this stand for, I have absolutely no idea. (eg. o.t.p. for the last 15 days). Thanks in advance.

Of this Parish. I think that is what you will find it means. Irene

'Of this parish', usually quoted along with batchelor or spinster.

Thanks Irene. Can't believe I didn't know that one. I've seen and heard it used so many times before, makes sense now.
