I would suggest that : Aff = Affidavit. (signed because the person required permission to get married?). Ray. |

Could it possibly say 'als' (long 's' looks like 'f') If so, it means alias/also, which would fit with her having two surnames. ( OC |

Don't know if it is true in this case, but this is what I found: 'aff. or affin. aff. or affin. are abbreviations from a Latin word (affinis) and means to be 'related' to or be 'adjacent' to. ' |
