Thank you for your easy to follow instructions regarding Veiwing the BMD on Ancestry, Reg. I set up a new screen name + it all went perfectly. I wish I had known this before, it would have saved me a fortune! Thanks again Regards Ann

Well, this is what Reg told me + It WORKS! The bmd records are accessed via the menu to the right of the 'search records 'box. Click on 'more' under the bmd heading (2nd group down under Historical records). THEN ignore the search box............scroll down to search the individual bmd collections........find the England + Wales titles..these are listed alphabetically+ click on the relevant category. DO NOT pick on the ones which mention freebmd......you want FULL records. Like Reg said , it's easier to do than explain! Good luck Ann

Silly question now - does that just show what is on the 1837 online? It doesn't actually find the required information but you have to search through all the quarters? Sue
