Thanks Jennifer and Shirley. I just had a look on free bmd but Bumpstead isn't mentioned anywhere. I assume it must have come under Dunmow/Chelmsford then. Chrissie |

well Dunmow was abolished in 1968 & succeeded by Chelmsford. you could try that. Shirley |

Hi all Can anyone tell me please how to find out what the registration district would be for a death in the 1990's. The person was living at Bumpstead, nr Dunmow, in Essex. I am having terrible problems with being cut off all the time from my broadband, so if I dissappear can I apologise in advance. Thanks Chrissie |
