was she of an age to marry then? To find her on the 1881 census would be a good start- establish her fathers name, then send for that marriage cert and see if they match is this her? Name: Annie Maria Taylor Year of Registration: 1862 Quarter of Registration: Oct-Nov-Dec DISTRICT: Banbury County: Northamptonshire Volume: 3a Page: 650 ( 1881 doesn't help much Annie Taylor abt 1862 Banbury, Oxfordshire, England Servant Fulham London Annie Taylor abt 1861 Banbury, Oxfordshire, England Servant Rousham Oxfordshire |

If Annie was given the second name Maria at birth, it would be odd if she didn't use it when she married.................... Do you know where and when 'your' Annie was born? And her father's name? The marriage reg'n you quote in 1882 has only the one forename listed for Annie Taylor........ Reg |

My GGrandfather was an Edward George,(her Uncle) his father was a Henry who married an Emily Cook, through the records of Henry, I have traced Richard Taylors (1857 and 1830) Just don't know who the maiden names were of their wives, I have moved back to the town. x -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Added By Jess Bow Bag Bobbin Dog on 17/11/2006 20:29:38 | Update Message | Delete Message in that case, a childs birth cert is the answer -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Added by Beverly- Michelle on 17/11/2006 20:33:24 Thanks Jess, I guess that would be conclusive. Good to have you back on the website by the way. Thank you everyone for your help. |

Thanks for picking this up again as it's always lovely to have another pair of eyes, seems strange that some of my family would have ventured to London as they all seemed so local. I've just moved from West London back to Banbury and was in Fulham alot. I have looked on BMD Records and there wasn't another Annie born in Banbury in that year and the age fits. I'll have to see if I can pick up her later movements. Rgrds, Bev |
