Hi Can any one tell me how I go about getting a wedding certificate of a marrage that took place at R A F H Q Valletta Malta in March 1938 please ? I have been on to the G R O listings for that time but there is nothing there, but the records in Malta show that the marrage did happen Help Please Regards Sheila

Sheila you need to check the overseas marriage index on find my past website which used to be 1837 online. www.findmypast(.)com Georgina.

www.familyrelatives.org is better for overseas events, as they are free to view on there. Richard

Richard I agree with you that family search is a great source of information but I doubt it will have many records from 1938. Georgina.

Georgina - on the contrary, the OVERSEAS events on familyrelatives have the same coverage as on findmypast - the difference being, they're free on familyrelatives whereas you need units to view on findmypast. Richard

I have used the website Helen mentioned as well and was able to order my late brother's birth certificate from 1945. Maureen
