cant open asp file??

hi michael, thanks for replying, ok, ive search for relatives, either birth certs or marriage, found the file that i think might be the right one, click on it, then it says to download the file in a new window, after that i try to open it, but cant, ive tried every program on my pc to open with, but cant, i saved 1 file to desktop on another pc in my house, same problem, just says that its an asp file, and go to ie to find the program i need, ive just about given up now, lol, x |

Hi, Karen. I googled up .asp, and find that it's a web development tool, used in .net frameworks... I'm no closer to understanding it myself, btw, but it seems likely that it is something used in web-page making, rather than user friendly applications for the likes of me! How did you get the file? What's your operating system Windows? Mac? If you run through what you're actually downloading maybe someone can get an idea of how to get what you want! Most of it should be simple, I find, or at least not impossibly complicated! Michael |

hi every1, im new to all this, im a full member and have credits, i download the files i need, but just cant open the bloody things?! am i stupid and the only person who does not know how to open a file? my best mate is an I.T manager, and he cant open them either, lol, any help greatly apprieciated, kaz, x |
