1851 Census image. Help please.

It says Child at Nurse. It means she was a nurse child which is the same as what we would call a foster child. The family would be paid to look after her. She could be a relative or not. Her mother could have been ill or died, or a single mother who had to work, or couldn't look after her for another reason. Kath. x |

Hi Would some kind person with access to the 1851 census please have a look at the following. Amelia Starkey age 1 Walsall, Staffordshire She is living with a family called Evans. The problem is I cannot work out what it says by her name i.e. Child at ? Thank you Pat |
