lesley jupp my nan had been married before on her new marriage cert it had her late husband surname and that she was a widow no maiden name. |

My maternal grt gran married three times . her second marriage had her marrying in her current married name & saying formerly her maiden name . Her third marriage also did the the same but shoewd no ref to her first marriage tho |

Reg The first child with her first husband was born in 1809. I've looked at the IGI records and her surname isn't mentioned on any of the childrens baptisms. I found her second marriage in 1845. Carole xx |

i've never had one which states maiden name, as such, in those circumstances but you can usually tell by looking at her father's name. Gwyn |

Would a marriage certificate show a womans maiden name if it was her second marriage? I'm trying to find my 5xggrandmothers maiden name. I've found the marriage record to her second husband and wondered if it would tell me if I get the cert. Thanks. Carole xx |
