Genealogy Chat

A while back thanks to someone on here (sorry forgot who it was) they advised me to put a ad in the local paper in Whitby in Yorkshire, as I was trying to find out what the first name of the lady was who my mum use to stay with in 1934 to 1940 as mum only knew her as Mrs Brown, anyway I placed the ad with the address where mum stayed and today I received a letter from a lady who knew Mrs Brown and she gave me her first name and her husbands name, as mum said there was never a man around but apparantely he had died. But when I put the name in my FTM and saw the husbands name I nearly dropped threw the floor now Ive found the link, ive rang mum and she is over the moon. now we know why mum stayed at Mrs Browns Just had to tell you, well you know what its like your head explodes I cant think straight. Hi Tracy Yes it was a while back, the lady wrote to me even gave me her phone number and told me if there was any more information I needed just to contact her. I will be writing back to her tomorrow and getting a thank you card it was very kind of her. Hoping to get up to Whitby on day trip next year armed with a camera and a large writing pad so many are resting there I know they are. Yvonne x
