Glen In Tinsel Knickers Report 14 Nov 2006 10:07

It is easier to use the online help centre and print the answer (some screenshots are shown which can't be reproduced here) http://ftm.custhelp*com/cgi-bin/ftm.cfg/php/enduser/std_alp.php replace * with the usual dot. Type 'gedcom' in the search box, The most important thing to do is to MAKE A BACKUP OF YOUR FILE BEFORE YOU ATTEMPT TO MERGE THE FILES. Also make sure that the backup has been saved to disc or stick,(try to open it with FTM), if the merge is not a success you will still have your file available. Glen
