hi anglea thanks for looking i will have to check in the morning i cant see it being him as on that census he is a 'pupil' but john was always a labourer and it seems such a long way to go but i never rule anything out thanks again love linda x ps i wondered if he was in wales with him marrying someone from flintshire and his first son was born in flintshire - leeswood flintshire plus i cant find a marriage for him either. he was born c 1831 and his eldest son was born 1852 so he might have maried a couple of years before !!
