Is there a way that by clicking on one member of the family, you can get their individual tree, with not only their descendantsa/ancestors but siblings and cousings as well? I'm hoping to print individual ones off to send certain relatives for Christmas but would like to include cousins/2nd cousins/siblings/aunts and uncles etc as well as straightforward descendants/ancestors but can't seem to find one that does this? Or is there a way I can do so on here/Tribal Pages? Many thanks Laura- |

Hi Laura Doesn't it work if you print the parents' tree? This should show all the children and their families. Maybe I'm misunderstanding what you need. Cheers Gina |

Laura If you produce an Hourglass tree you can enter how many generations to show forwards and backwards via the 'generations to show' tab on the right of the screen. By clicking on 'options' and selecting to include 'siblings of primary individual' and 'siblings of all other individuals' you should get something close to what you want to produce. As a nice little 'extra' why not produce a Kinship report with the reciever as the primary individual. That way they can work out the relationships of the names on the tree too. ------------ By using different trees and the options tab, you can produce just about any combination of tree that you want .The best thing to do is play with the options/number of generations till you get the result you want. The best person to ask about this is Ron from Genealogy Printers. I'm not sure myself that you can do this with a click of the mouse, other than doing an 'all in one' tree, but I could be wrong. Kath. x |

Nudging this for later. I intend printing and framing parts of my tree as Christmas presents. This hint will help a lot. Terry |

FTM has several types of tree that can be produced. Using a primary individual (any name in your file can be the primary individual) you can produce Ancestor Tree Descendant Tree Hourglass Tree (gives ancestors and descendants if required) You can use different combinations of siblings/children of siblings to show as few or as many cousins/aunts etc as you wish. The trees can be either standard or fan types and you can add comments/dates/locations etc or omit specific details of you wish.
