hi i wonder if anyone out ther has any access to any welsh records. either parish or electrol etc. i need help with my brick wall see below in a mo love linda x

hi i have a kenneth lyndon russell born c1909 in bedwelty monmouthshire wales his parents were russell phillips and catherine lewis maried 1908 in pontypool i have sent off for both certs but i have been told that russell didnt come from wales there is a rumour that he came from gloucestershire way . the marriage cert wont tell me that it will only tell me where he was living when he got married. is there anyone who has any access to parish records for that area or an electrol roll for those years they had other children but i dont know how many or what ages. any help anyone or any ideas would be great love linda x

Russell Phillips abt 1886 East Dean, Gloucestershire, England Son Abertillery Monmouthshire Parents William & Charlotte Russell E Phillips abt 1886 Ampney Crucis, Gloucestershire, England Brother Newport Monmouthshire Sister Fanny I don't know how far these are from Pontypool The marriage cert would confirm his age and fathers name/occupation.

What the marriage cert will tell you is his father's name and occupation............would help with locating the family on a census............ Reg

thanks to you all for your help. i have been trying to get more info on the phillips family. lyndons parents were catherine lewis and russell philips his siblings were - we think ! muriel evelyn irene isabel gilbert catherine and there is a frances whose parentage is in doubt cant wait to get the marriage cert . thanks again for all your help love lindax
