karen, probably means they dont know why he was dieing, he was just wasting away, thats it. Theres no way of you every find out what it was! like you said, it could be TB cancer, even a disease off leather, after all, I suppose you know what they used to soften leather in those days? Well the youths of the time were paid to collect horse pee and dogs droppings! now I canimagine the diseases you would get from that! TED.

Found on the death certificate of a male releative dated 1844 who died aged 35 yrs cause of death = decline Does any one have an idea as to what it may be. Ideas so far are TB, a none tumour cancer. He was a sadler by trade so is there a idustrial illness linked with this? Just really curious Karen
