Hello Denis, I am looking for Petty Officer Alfred Maudesley who joined HMS Whelp when she was commissioned in April 1944. The ship then proceeded to the Far East and was in Tokyo Harbour when the Japanese surrenderd. Prince Philip was also an officer on board at that time. Kathlyn |

It would be helpful to anyone who might be in a poition to advise you if you could indicate whether he was a crew member in the Royal Navy, Merchant Navy, travelling on a troopship or whatever. The name of the ship and a date would also help. What exactly are you trying to find out? Denis. |
