ScotlandsPeople is a pay to view site. 30 Units cost £6 - can be bought in multiples of £6 Each search will cost 1 or more units - depending on the number of results found. Then each image is 5 units. Statutory Registers Births 1855-1905 Marriages 1855-1930 Deaths 1855-1955 You could possibly find other children on IGI Good luck, Maureen

Thanks Maureen and thanks Irene. Looks like I'll have to part with some more hard earned cash and take a peek at ScotlandsPeople! Can you get the ref for BDMs on there and buy the certs? same as you do in England? Gerri x

You don't have to buy the certificates on Scotland people, you view the actual image with all the details you require there. It gives you place of birth or marriage parents names, dates and even what they worked at. If parents are there it gives there marriage date too. Betty

Oh No it doesn't not when you an spend about £200 a years or more searching BMD and census for parents with 10 or 12 children on both sides of the family. You English are all so lucky with Ancestry. Betty
