Go back and try again, this time just put in the initial T and the name POOLE, there is a T.A. Poole a Private of the Essex Regiment, Reg. no. 44050. Jennifer |

..... try and find his service or Regimental Number, also confirm that the Essex was his and not just a family rumour or hand me down. Get his full name, confirm it, see if anyone matches with that. Many men were enlisted at regimental depots and then turned out/shipped for duty as Riflemen, Pioneers and etc. with completely different Regt's. Good hunting, Bob |

My husband's grandfather Thomas Poole was in the Essex Regiment in WW! but can I find hi medal card - No! I have searched under his name only and with the Essex shown under Corps. What am I doing wrong - is their other info I should add? Help! |
