Hi, Can anyone help me find the following person(s).. James Clark (born Scotland) 1869 I think his father was Thomas Clark. James Clark was married to Annie Alice Wright they were married in Southampton June 1895. In 1901 they were in Northumberland with their daughter Isabele. He was a professional Bagpipe player and she was a Music Hall Artist. I have no idea where or how to look as I am finding my feet again after a long time away. Thank you anyone in advance. ps... Gdad still alive and kicking at 97 years old and still has his marbles and lives with me - he's great company! Annie |

Hey Annie Do you know if James' fathers name was Thomas for sure? Do you have his (James) marriage cert? Does it list an occupation for Thomas? Clark is a fairly common name is Scotland (and the UK i think) so without at least a fathers name and occupation it could be difficult researching him. I'm taking a trip to the Edinburgh records office tomorrow so if you could give me a few more facts i could have a look for you. Mhairi |

Hello there, That would be wonderful... I have a Thomas Clark for definite - at first I thought it said Norman - but it isn't - anyway he was a french polisher. James Clark and Annie Alice Wright - had a baby girl and named her Isobele. (she later died when in 1901 - accidental death - but can't find anything.) In 1901 she was 1 year but she died that year. Annie Can I help anymore - I would be most grateful - can't believe that someone is doing that for me. Thank you. |

Just to say that Annie Alice Clark (was Wright) died in 1911 - so maybe (thanks Janice) he re-married... She died in Southampton and he wasn't present - well he wasn't on the death certificate as the informative person. I can't trace him at all.. Annie |

You told me that Isabel's death was registered by her uncle, W A Clark. He must therefore be James's brother. |
