Hi Wade, You can search the IGI without knowing the batch number. Click on Search tab at the top and enter the names. Janice

I don't know why IGI doesn't let you search by family name alone (without a batch number) but it can be rather inconvenient. Here is a site which allows you to identify theIGI batch number on a village by village basis and then do a search by surname for example. http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~hughwallis/IGIBatchNumbers.htm Does anyone know of a better site or have a better methodology?
