Hi Looking on the 1881 I found something interesting: ( On the 1871 William and Elizabeth also have with them a grandson (looks like Zebulan) Watson.) On this image it is definitely Templeman. 1881 England Census about Tom Templeman Name: Tom Templeman Age: 38 Estimated Birth Year: abt 1843 Relation: Son Father's name: William Mother's name: Jane Gender: Male Where born: Folkton, Yorkshire, England Civil Parish: Folkton County/Island: Yorkshire Country: England Street address: Cottage Education: Employment status: View Image Occupation: Wheelwright Registration district: Scarborough Sub-registration district: Filey ED, institution, or vessel: 7 Neighbors: View others on page Household Members: Name Age Jane Templeman 63 Tom Templeman 38 William Templeman 62 Syd Templeman Watson 19 View Original Record View Original Image View It seems odd that the dates are right, the places are right, the occupations are right and the Watson grandson is on both. On the image it looks more like Zeb Templeman Watson, grandson. The last name is not right but could be because the enumerator misheard the name. And the wife's name is wrong, maybe Elizabeth's middle name was Jane??? A puzzle. What do you think?

Please can someone else look for me! 1871 Census - Elizabeth Temple - Shepherds wife - b.1818/1819 Flamborough (Flambro) Yorkshire. Tom Temple - Wheelwright - Son - b.1844 Folkton. 1881 - MISSING! 1891 Census - Elizabeth is by herself, but it says wife. 1901 Census - She is there with her son and husband. Tom aged 58 Son and William aged 82 Head. William is down as a Shepherd - could they have been out on the moors or something in the 1881 and thats why they are missing? The husband William is missing from most of the Census returns, but Elizabeth is there from the 1851 to 1901 apart from 1881. Thanks :-)
