Hi i was just hoping someone could help me, i am trying to find my brother-in-laws father`s death, i have looked on 1837.com but i am unable to find it on there, he was born 9/1/1958 in London and died 11/9/2004 in Spain, i know the death was regestered over there but it was also regestered over here as he was brought over here about 2 weeks later for the funaral. If anyone could help then i would be most greatfull. Kindest Regards Lyn.

Why would it have been re-registered here? A death cert is a death cert - the funeral director or whatever would have used the spanish one

His death would be registered in Consular records and may not have been sent over yet. My brother also died in Spain in 2001 and his record still isnt at the FRC I checked there 3 weeks ago. Dont know how often theses consulars are required to send the records home

Hi Shirley Many thanks for that, i never knew it took so long, what a pain i was hoping i could get hold of it for him as his fathers wife has got the one from spain but she won't allow him to have a copy of it for some reason. Lyn.
