Hi Anne thats what i am hoping as everything ties in together. Johns fathers name, Ann's father and their birth places & occs. Regards Bunny

It sounds as if you've got the right one to me. Mistakes are all too common but by assessing all the evidence as you have you can make the best guess. In this case whoever wrote the marriage certificate may have made a 'typo' (of the handwritten variety!) Possibly they pronounced the name Griggory? Anne

I Have a Mary Boden born 10/10/1859. Parents are John Boden & Ann formerly Gregory. The only marriage I can find for John is to Ann Diggory.19/9/1852.Her father is John Diggory .Occ Potter . Their address is 4 Wood St. In the 1841 & 1851 census I can find Ann Gregory father John ( Occ Potter ) living in Wood St. On the 1861 cencus Ann Boden was born in Market Drayton , on 1851 Ann Gregory was born Market Drayton Could it be that the Vicar at the Church got the name wrong?? As neither party signed . Or have I lost the plot ? Any Ideas ? Regards Bunny
