Hi can you give me your thoughts on this please? Ifound a birth on freebmd registered Sept Qtr 1869. On the 1871 census the person was down as being born in 1869 Mile End. Father Martin a baker... mother Julia. I sent for the birth cert, and it arrived today from Tower Hamlets reg office a printed one. On the cert it says this person was born 27th May 1860,but was registered 6th July 1869. The parents are the same. Do you think this could be a mistake on the part of the registrar Or have I got the wrong person. Thanks you Sheila

To me, it sounds like your person. I would email the register office to ask them to check the year.

Many thanks Maid Marion for your reply. I think I will get a message off to ask for a check on that date. It does seem strange, that all the other details are correct. Thanks again Sheila
