Is anyone having difficulty with Ancestry tonight? I had problems last night also - got signed in ok, started looking and census etc. came up then it started struggling, going v. slow and eventually went on to a page which said page not found, website might be experiencing difficulty and to refresh - I did this and went back and then it came up with an Ancestry message. Do you think its because of the passenger lists etc. they are loading up?

Don't know about the passenger lists but I got the same error message. Oh well, will just have to get up (it's 6:30am here in Perth) and start on the housework! Kristeen

I'm getting the page with the smug looking little boy holding a rope and the message 'Check Back Later'. They must be doing maintenance or updates. Kath. x

I'm getting page not found, always the way when you are on to something that needs checking.

Strange really but it was working okay until I got their newsletter pop up when using the site. Maureen

Thanks Guys - what a poor lot we are tonight then, not being able to burn away the hours slaving over a hot computer getting nowhere fast! Looks like it'll be an early night tonight for me for once. Even FreeBMD was struggling and has problems, couldn't get on there either. I blame all these TV programmes encouraging people to do their trees. many thanks

Internet explorer cannot find the site but if you use the Firefox browser you can use the site - will need to download a file to read dll applications as ancestry search buttons download a file sse.dll, but you can search after you've done this.
