Thank you Sam the family I have been looking at and whom I have found in the census his wife was Ann and as far as I can see were married in 1837 because their first child was born 1838. Margaret x |

The one from 1809 and just a wife named is a member submission. These are just submitted by anyone doing their family tree and are not checked before being published on the IGI. The other record from 1808 is extracted from the parish records and is therefore more likely to be accurate although should still be checked. They may be the same person or they could relate to two Thomas Acklands who happen to come from the same village. Sam x |

I have a Thomas Ackland born in Uffculme Devon.........................On the first birth it says born 1809 no parents on it just a wife a few more down there is a Thomas Ackland born same place with parents on it but a year differnt as to when he was birn 1808 are they the same person.................. Thank you Margaret X |
