Help with emigrants to Australia/ New Zealand.

I am trying to find out what happened to Roger and Alice Read and their children. They were originally from Carlisle but are on the 1901 census as living in Portsmouth. I know they emigrated ' down under '. Is there any way I can find out where, like passenger lists etc ? Eileen |

Hi Eileen This site gives BMD for some parts of Australia you might be able to find them on there, at least then you will know where they went http://genealogy.about.com/od/vital_records/p/australia.htm Here are some other sites that might be helpful http://www.prov.vic.gov.au/ The above site give passenger lists for assisted and unassisted passengers http://www.cyndislist.com/austnz.htm#Ships Good Luck Jayne |
