Well his occupation should be shown on the certificate as well. Give us his name and year of birth and the area etc. so people can check for you.

hello can any one please help me? i have a marriage certificate which tells me the name of my nans husband and roughly his date of birth. It also tells me the name of his father. Is there any way from this info of finding out where he was born. I cant seem to find him on the local census of the area he was married. So he may of been a traveller. Any tips would be gratefully received. Alfred burrows married Thirza Wakefield 15th jan 1905 he was 25 a dock labourer living in berkeley at the time. His father was Charles burrows brass moulder journeyman. Unfortunatly i dont know where they were born. This is where i am stuck.
