Finding rellies after 1901???????

I am trying to do exactly that at present. I found out when the 1901 census came out that my father had 9 other siblings. I trawled the records looking for their marriages which varied from 1913 upwards - having got the marriage certificate to ensure it was the correct person then went onto finding any children by using the mothers maiden name. Then try looking for the deaths of those born from 1901 and hopefully you will have an informant with an address. I am at present waiting for a death certificate of a death in 2004 and hoping it will give me their childrens address. I have so far tracked down one family with this method. Happy hunting. Carol

If born 1900 - 1911 then I doubt they will apear on any electoral rolls or registers. If the name is not a common one and you know the whereabouts of the persons then look at all the births for the period and then write to the registrar of the district and ask for all the birth certs for the list provided the parents are X and Y. Same fror marriages and children of that marriage. May be expensive but better than waiting another 6 years for the next Census.

Hi, thanks, I have tried ancestry, but have only managed to find 1 born in 1911. Was just wondering if there might be a way to look up electoral rolls. thanks Lozie

you could look on the Ancestry free BMD as long as not a comman name like Smith or Jones etc and stayed in same area you might find them after 1911 mothers maiden name on index http://www.ancestry(.)co.uk/search/rectype/vital/freebmd/bmd.aspx Remove brackets its free to register too Jeanette

Can any one give me any advice how to find out about rellies after 1901? I know about my grandfather, but I am trying to find out if he had any siblings. I have his address but can't figure out how to find out more info. Lozie :-)
