Registers may be at the local history library, but no doubt the staff could tell you more about the location and dates of the chapel (and poss where the records are now) - From Southwark council website: Local History Library 211 Borough High Street London SE1 1JA Tel: 020 7525 2000 Fax: 020 7403 8633 Opening hours Monday and Thursday, 9.30am to 8pm Tuesday and Friday, 9.30am to 5pm Wednesday closed Saturday, 9.30am to 1pm Sunday closed Archives The core of the collection is the local government records of the area, the civil parishes and the Metropolitan Boroughs. Some of the records of the former civil parishes go back to the 16th century. They include vestry minutes, taxation records and poor law records. We also hold copies of London County Council, and London School Board minutes. Some local organisations have also deposited their records including businesses, some non conformist churches and early schools. We also hold, on microfilm, copies of records held elsewhere, most notably census returns and parish registers.

If you put 'Belgian Chapel Surrey'. into Google, it comes up with a Catholic site that mentions someone being baptized there. (but says it's Southwark) Maybe you can get some clues from that?

Anyone got any ideas where the Belgium Chapel would be in the district of St. George the Martyr in Surrey. It's the only Roman Catholic marriage I've got....So I've never done any research on it before..............Linda
