Try putting his name in search on the National Archives site. You may get lucky and his details have been put online .if they are there you can request an estimate for copying and then order & they will be sent by post |

Hi Can anyone tell me how I can find out when someone joined the Army and when he was discharged. I know he was a serving soldier in 1870 by his marriage certificate, but now I'm stumped. Thank you in advance, GeorgeK |
